Flower Drum

Located not too far from Chennai's Egmore railway station and in a mall, this place attracts people of all walks of life. Flower Drum serves Chinese, Thai, Malay and Vietnamese cuisines. It is also one of the few speciality restaurants with a pure vegetarian menu, and promises food that is low on oil. The sophisticated ambience of the restaurant is perfect for a relaxed meal and you're guaranteed prompt service. The menu offers soups, starters, fresh juices, dim sums, satays, noodles and some mouth-watering, tongue-twisting desserts. Try the Mancho Soup; the steamed wontons will make your mouth water. Another delicious dish is the Flower Manchurian which goes well with rice or breads. Other options are Corn Cornet and the Krispy Chilli Babycorn. Parking is easy at night, but difficult during the day as the restaurant is in a mall. As Fridays are busy days, it’s best to make reservations. The downside is that the lift in the mall doesn't always work, so be ready to walk up two floors.
