You can't cheat a Chennaiite when you're dealing with his favourite idlis and dosas, and Sangeetha is one place that never disappoints. A treat for the usual South Indian favourites, it has also become quite a neat place for North Indian items like naans, rotis, etc. The Vada is a favourite here, as it’s crisp and yummy. You could order their range of vadas here, like the Medu Vada and the Special Vada. In the evenings, Sangeetha also offers Pyaaz Vada, which is quite a hit with its patrons. The Pongal, chutneys and sambhars here cater to anyone looking for typical Madras-style side-dishes. The lunch buffet of delicious South Indian food is very filling. This restaurant has quite a steady and devoted clientele.

A Safe Bet
No doubt Sangeetha is a decent place to eat veg food in Chennai.. but it is definitely not the best place..

It is a safe bet, as the editor says 'it wont disappoint'.. it is the kind of place you want to go to if you want to eat a quick meal.. the food is always good, if not great.. and  more

Yummy South Indian food
New to the town? Can't decide where to go? Stop thinking and head straight to Sangeetha. A good place to try the southern delicacies you only heard about till now. While you here do try the Pyaaz vada.
